Random Acts of Kindness

Nate's mom works for a place that makes signs. She has been learning to design and made this sign for us. It is just so awesome! We hung it up in front of our house for all to see! Last week we got this cool cookie bouquet from a friend who is serving an LDS mission with her husband in Boston. This certainly made our day! Nate's aunt Evelyn, brought us over all of this disposable eatery so that we would not have to wash so many dishes. Genius! She also left as a bunch of homemade bread as well as some other things. She has also been an angel to us! Her daughter Linda made Spencer an awesome blanket, that he ABSOLUTELY LOVES. It is a signature blanket. Everyone who comes to visit can sign the blanket so that when he goes to the hospital he is wrapped up in the love of all his friends and family. Another one of our sweet new friends and pen pals sent Spence some gift cards to In-N-Out and Papa Murphy's. How did she know we love those places? We have been so blessed by so many people.

  1. You don't know me, but I came across your blog from my sister. I can't even imagine what you must be going through. I promise I will pray for your sweet Spencer. I hope there will be a miracle for your family. May you find peace and comfort each day.

  2. Isn't it amazing how such seemingly small things can touch us so much? We've had so many wonderful people touch our lives these last few months after we found out about Ollie. It's amazing..........

  3. Nate & Holly,
Remember that special children come into the lifes of wonderful parents. Know that there are oh so very many people praying for your family snd for cute Spencer every day. Cancer has touched our lives also, as you know, and our cute Carly and Dustin have been blessed with much kindness as we know you have also. We have learned through these last two years that it isn't the size of the gift that matters, but the size of the heart that gives it - for love is, above all, the gift of oneself. Please know that our hearts are overflowing with love for Spencer and for you guys. Cancer cannot cripple Love or shatter Hope, it cannot invade the Soul or conquer the Spirit or ever steal Eternal Love. No one has ever measured how much love a heart can hold, so our family is gathering up all we can find and sending it your way. Ellice Watts and family
