BLESSED
I am overwhelmed by emotion, love, support, gratitude, etc., etc. I am too exhausted to blog about this incredibly emotional day but I wanted to express a smidgen of my appreciation to THE MOST AMAZING friends in the universe. I know we all think we have the greatest friends, but I REALLY DO! Thank you all of our hundreds and hundreds of friends that came to support our sweet Spencer. It was extremely hard, and the most emotional part of our day, for him not to be there, and stuck at the hospital. There were so many prayers for him to be there and we know that the Lord has heard them all but for some reason He needed to keep Spence safe and healthy at the hospital. PLEASE IF YOU SHAVED YOUR HEAD OR HAVE A FAMILY MEMBER WHO DID SEND IT TO SPENCER'S EMAIL POSTED ON THE SIDEBAR! We would like to have as many "bald headed" pictures as possible. Once again we are overwhelmed by your love and support and when I can recuperate from the day I will blog all about it. We have thousands of pictures from the day and are still trying to figure out how to share them with you all. Again, thank you, thank you, thank you. You are all truly amazing and we are blessed to have every single one of you in our lives.

I just wanted to say how much I admire you and your family. I don't even know Spencer but I was asked by a friend to help shave heads today. I jumped on the chance. I lost one of my best friends to cancer in december and am struggling as I watch my Grandmother go through terminal colon cancer right now. I wish I cold do more but I really felt I needed to help even if it were just shaving heads! What a wonderful support you have. I wish you the best of luck and thank you so much for giving me the opportunity to serve. Heather Payne
ReplyDeleteI just got home at 9:30 pm and the first ting on my mind was how the fundraiser went! I'm glad to hear it went so well. I knew it would! Sad Spencer couldn't be at his big party but I'm sure he needed to be safe and away from germs. I can't wait to hear more and see pictures! Love ya!, Allison
ReplyDeleteHolly and Nate it was great to see you both today and even great to give you two a big hug. I know it was hard to not have Spencer there today but I know he was in everyones hearts today. The weather was beautiful, people were smiling and supporting one another and I hope it made things just a little easier. Love you
ReplyDeleteIt was an amazing day! McKay and I were amazed at the love and support of the community. Moab and Nahvi loved that they were there to support Spencer.
ReplyDeleteSpencer, we love you, we missed you, but we are glad you were safe and getting better in the hospital. Hope you get to come home soon!
We will send you some cool pics we took today!
The fundraiser was so amazing! I don't personally know your family but met you this afternoon when you thanked my son Skyler for donating his bag of change. He feels so bad that Spencer has to go through this and feels even worse that he is going to get sick. I am glad that we were able to come and support your family. If you need ANYTHING we would love to help more! Please contact me if you need anything at all! Stay strong and faithful! I lost my father to colon cancer almost 10 years ago and in his memory I want to help those in need and suffering from cancer as much as I can. Our prayers and thoughts are always with you!

It was an amazing event today held in Spencer's behalf. We do not know your family but have friends who know Super Spencer and we too are praying for him and your family. We had a great time today and wish he too could have been there. Miracles do happen & the Lord works in mysterious ways. Spencer brought together a whole community today! Best wishes to you and your family.

I was there in spirit (If Bend, Oregon was a little closer, I would have been there) I heard it was an amazing event! Your family are loved by hundreds!
ReplyDeletei have known Thayne Gooche since we were 21. My daughters Sariah and Heather Baldwin grew up with Nate. I was honored and pleased to attend the fund raiser for Spencer and happy to leave three ben franklins that may help. My sister passed from skin cancer 7 years ago , leaving behind an 8 year old son. Now my dad is in stage 3 bladder cancer. Somehow there is peace and tenderness from these horrible trials. Thank you for sharing your faith, your frustrations, your tender feelings, and your love. Glade Baldwin RPh
